MagCloud

Another exciting new company that is still in beta is MagCloud. Upload a pdf file of your magazine layout to their library and your readers can pay for issues custom printed for them. It doesn't cost you anything to set it up and you don't have to print large quantities. You only pay when you purchase your printed magazine.

Need to create a pdf file?  Check out the acrobat.com site I mentioned here. That's free too!

Spoonflower

I am really excited about this new company Spoonflower.  They are offering custom printed fabric from your own designs.  It's still in beta right now and you have to sign up to get an invite to try it out.  I just got an invite last week. Looks fun.  Printed fabric + custom designs + small runs + affordable prices = oh so many POSSIBILITIES for endless new projects!  Now I just have to decide on what to try first. Hooray for Spoonflower!  Check out their flickr pool for examples of what other people have already tried.

LDSWA

I wanted to also show you a project I've been working on for an organization called LDSWA. We've got their branding done now for all the different divisions in the company.  My client wanted each to have their own logo but the group together to have the same feel and the same color group.

More exciting things coming from this client.  I can't wait to show you what it becomes.

!ntrude & Mindwise

!ntrude is a new traditional advertising, marketing, and pr agency here in SLC.  I've been working with them off and on in a freelance capacity for a few years now through their sister company Mindwise -an experiential marketing / promotions company (think DEW TOUR & STATE FAIR). We just finished their new !ntrude identity.

They've done some creative stuff with Mindwise and I can't wait to see what they come up with for their !ntrude clients.

Check them out either place and see what they can do for you!

Design & share your own font

Fontstruct is an online application that allows you to design and download your own fonts.  I haven't played with it yet so I'm not sure what limitations it has.  But, it's supposed to have an easy to use editor and it's FREE!  Let me know if you've used it and what you liked and didn't like about it.

New Free Acrobat

Just found out about an online version of Adobe Acrobat.  You can create an account, store files online, share files, screens, hold meetings and can also covert files to PDF.  The best part . . . it's FREE!
